Slumber Party & Spring Break

This weekend we had a slumber party with Ryley and Muireann! Here's a picture of the kids right before bedtime. I love the look on Muireann's face and I have no idea why Audrey is doing the cheerleader "#1"! Ben and I had a good laugh over that last night. The kids had a good time and it was fun playing with Muireann, she's such a content and happy baby! We had the slumber party in the Quad Cities so on Sunday we went to Great Grandma B.S. & Jim's for lunch. We had fun even though it was a short visit, got to see pictures from the most recent cruise they were on. Audrey is usually shy around people but she warmed up to them quickly; giving her Beanie Babies to play with and showing her a train set helped! Grandma walked us out of their building and Audrey grabbed her hand and held it all the way out to the car - so cute.

When we got home yesterday we played outside because the weather was great. Our neighbor, Alexia, came out and played for a couple of hours. Here they are playing with the Hotwheels race track.

Last week Luke and Alexia played every day after school, even when it was freezing on Monday! It's so nice now that Luke is old enough to play outside without us having to directly supervise him. If we tell him to stay in the backyard he will. It will be nice once we get our fence and Audrey can play with them more without us having to be out there every minute. Luke is getting the gardening itch just like me. Yesterday he asked if we could get some seeds and start our garden. I told him it's still too cold at night but I'm thinking we might start some container gardens inside, maybe lettuce and herbs. Luke is on spring break this week; today and tomorrow Ben is home with him, Wednesday Ben's mom will be here, and Thursday he's coming to work with me. We haven't decided yet if we'll take a vacation this summer but I want to save some vacation days in case we do! It's awesome that Luke liked coming to work with me one day last month and even said he wanted to do it more often. :-)
