Look who just lost her first top tooth! She giggled deliriously when she looked in the mirror!

Before we get too far in to January, I'd better get a post up about Christmas! Here are our top ten things loved about Christmas -
10. New pajamas!
9. Getting Mario Party 9 from Santa (Luke)
8. Eleven days straight of not working! (Katie)
7. Having a co-worker offer to work Christmas Day for Ben.
6. Getting the Barbie Dream House (this is Audrey's. okay and Katie, too).
5. Eating cookies and cinnamon rolls and egg casserole Christmas morning.
4. The adults playing Apples to Apples on Christmas Eve.
3. An impromptu photo shoot with 4 of the kids.
2. Finding out we will have another niece in May!

...just a couple of our kids' favorite foods. They have eaten cherry tomatoes for breakfast and always snack on cheese sticks. I want to remember things like this, so will continue the blog that was once titled, "Bud and Baby's Adventures." We'll now call them Luke and Audrey. :)

2nd Art Exhibit
Audrey's art teacher chose a piece of her artwork for the Candace Carmichael Elementary Art Exhibit! It's being displayed on the university's campus in the engineering building from January 3-13! This is actually the second time her artwork has been selected for an exhibit; the first was at the school district's administration building.
The title of the first grade project is "Which 1 Are You" and is a crayon resist transformation. Here is the description from her teacher: First Graders transformed the number one into fantastic crayon resist watercolor paintings.
From Audrey - Mrs. S drew a one and we traced it with Sharpie and I drew the wings, feet, beak, and eyes and then painted it. Then the next time we had art we could color over the paint with crayon.
So that is what a crayon resist watercolor painting is. :-) We are attending a reception on Sunday for the artists and their friends and families and we're very excited about it!
